About this Partner

China Regal Cruises boasts three elegant, state-of-the-art vessels: Princess Jeannie, Princess Elaine and Princess Sheena. Built in Germany in 1993, the three sister ships are the only European-built passenger vessels plying China's rivers and the only ships designed to western standards of safety and refinement. Under Chinese and American management, RCC staff provide the best quality services and programs available for touring the Three Gorges and other famous sights along the Yangtze River.

Description of Cabins
All cabins are fully equipped with in-room controllable AC/heat, TV, refrigerator, private bathrooms (including western-style toilets), closets, shelves, and table space. Windows open for fresh air and provide picturesque views.

The twin cabins, of which there are 122 onboard each boat, are sized at 9m2-11m2 with two twin beds. There are also 14 single cabins sized nearly the same as the twins.

Additional, there are 10 Deluxe Suites on each cruiser that measure a very spacious 31m2-33m2, with a king-size bed, bath (including tub), a couch, a kitchen, and living areas.

All rooms are finely appointed throughout. The tap water is potable (the only boats on the river for which this is true), but boiled water and bottled water are also provided.

What to see and do:
The Three Gorges consists of Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge, Xiling Gorge, in the order of traveling downstream.

You may board cruise ship either at Chongqing (Downtream) or Wuhan (Upstream) and start your unforgettable Three Gorges tour.

There are stopovers and sightseeing on shore.

Here are some of the stopovers:

  • FENGDU (Ghost City): In this little town, you may visit some temples and the ghost sculptures display the Chinese ghost culture.
  • SHIBAOZHAI: This is a pearl on the Yangtze River. Along the riverbank stands a lone huge rock while beside it a twelve story wooden pagoda facing the river. A wonderful view can be seen from the top floor of the pagoda.
  • TEMPLE OF GENERAL ZHANG FEI: The temple commemorates the famous general, Zhang Fei (dated AD 221 - 263).
  • BAIDI CITY: You will climb hundreds of steps to the top of the hill and visit the Temple of White Emperor.
  • WANXIAN COUNTY: The nickname of this little town is "City of All Trade", a poem says: Three Gorges, one of the ten most famous scenic spots in China, concentrates in Wanxian where the grotesque nature and artificial landscape combined.
  • DANING RIVER AND THE LESSER THREE GORGES: Daning river is a main tributary of the Yangtze River. A half day Sampan tour will be conducted along the crystal clear water and the view along the way is breathtaking.
  • BADONG: The scenery of this little town includes: night drizzle of Bashan Mountain; morning bells of temples in the mist; evening glow of Fengshan Mountain; enjoy Autumn Moon in ancient pavilion; efficacious spring of the Fair Cave; screen of thousand stones, and more.
  • ZIGUI COUNTY: The county is also called "Stone Town" because the wall of the town is made of stones. It is the birthplace of Mr. Qu Yuan, one of the greatest patriotic poets of ancient China. A temple there commemorates him.
  • XIANGXI TOWN: The birthplace of Miss Wang Zhaojun, one of the four beauties of ancient China. You can visit her former residence.
  • GEZHOUBA DAM: Until the Three Gorges Water Control Project is completed in 21st century, Gezhouba is the biggest Water Control Project on the Yangze River.
  • YICHANG: The city is at one end of the Three Gorges. It is the base of the Three Gorges Water Control Project. The city now is easily accessible by air, water and land. Sanyou Cave and Gezhouba Water Project Control Center are most visited.
  • JINGZHOU: An ancient city with splendid culture and the old city wall is well-preserved.
  • YUEYANG: Situated at the confluence of the Yangtze River and Lake Dongting, Yueyang has much to offer. Sites to visit include the Yueyang Tower and Junshan Island, which are among the most interesting.
